For over 10 years, Astrid USAI has refined her eye to showcase the world around her.
She discovered her passion through live performance photography. Skilled in low-light conditions, she captures expressions, movement, emotion, and the intensity of concerts and performances. Highly observant, she knows how to immortalize key moments.
Over time, she expanded her focus to sports photography, beginning with equestrian events and later covering BMX and triathlon competitions. Through her work, she highlights physical effort, the joy of victory, and the simple happiness of giving one’s best.
She also developed a strong interest in animal photography. She enjoys capturing the intense gaze of a dog, the bond between a horse and a human, and the quiet strength of a cat.
In 2022, after gaining extensive and varied experience, Astrid USAI decided to professionalize her activity by founding her self-employed business, Donatella.
Human connection is central to her work. She listens carefully to each client’s requests and remains attentive to those who may feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. Reassuring, patient, and often using humor when needed, she creates a relaxed atmosphere during photo sessions. With kindness and care, she ensures that everyone can appreciate themselves in the images she creates. She particularly enjoys capturing expressive eyes—sometimes a gaze says more than words.
During events, she works discreetly to capture moments of joy in their most natural form. She pays close attention to details, revealing what may not be immediately visible at first glance.
One of her added strengths is her mastery of image-editing and video-editing software, allowing her to offer comprehensive and cohesive services.
Alongside her photographic work, she is also active in the field of cultural communication, giving her a sharp understanding of imagery and its uses. She is aware of sector-specific expectations and adapts seamlessly to the needs of her diverse clients.
