PERIINE MULLER PHOTOGRAPHE is available for new projects

Perrine Müller, originally from Burgundy, studied art history and archaeology before specializing in photography. Her first camera was at age 11, a film camera for tourists. The first one that didn't look like much but was the beginning of everything. At age 20, in 2005, she got her first real camera, which allowed her to make real adjustments, just like a grown-up. After hours and miles of traveling, exploring the Aube countryside and the streets of Paris, camera slung over her shoulder and film reels in her bag, she learned about digital photography and the world of retouching during her Photography and Digital Retouching training at Lignes et Formations. The company Perrine Muller photographe was founded on February 5, 2015.

Initially interested in landscape photography, she began doing photo reports for music festivals. Event photography has never left her. Capturing the moment, the one you want to remember. Before retouching, the possibilities offered by digital technology, the essence of photography: immortalizing. Immortalizing the event, the expression, like a freeze-frame of reality. Also immortalizing family, loved ones, the people who matter, like a painting.

Then came the school photo. Like a fly in the ointment. Not planned, never considered. She tried it to see what it was like, in 2015, but she never got over it. She got caught up in the game, the challenge of finding the expression that parents would want to hang in the entryway, grandparents to put on the sideboard and show to friends. The challenge of making the little one in front of the camera feel that, during the few seconds the photographer has to immortalize their school year, they are the one who is important. First for a studio in the Paris region for which she crisscrossed the north of France for a season. Then for a studio in South Finistère for which she covered the west of France. And for a Morbihan laboratory for 7 years. At the same time, she has done numerous real estate reports, for houses for sale, gîtes, tourist sites.

Today, it's unthinkable not to align the seasons with school photography. It's necessary to return to the basic values ​​of photography, to return to the moment, without relying on retouching. Return to instinctive know-how in order to capture the image we'll love to revisit and relive. Return to the authentic. After often hearing the regrets of many people who don't have memories that live up to the events that were important to them, she decided to offer several options so that people would no longer have these kinds of regrets. A freelancer for a local news program, reporting on town festivals brought her closer to what led her to photography in the first place: remembering the moments that matter.

For this same reason, she offers photo reports of pets, because our memories with these faithful companions also deserve to be immortalized.
