After spending 30 years in the scientific field and in the confined spaces of chemistry laboratories, Laurent SERGEANT decided to make a bold career change — one that would offer a fresh perspective on the beauty of the world around us. He wanted to combine the joy of flying with the art of capturing high-quality images, something made possible in recent years thanks to lightweight, high-performance drones.
After passing the required theoretical exam and completing the essential practical training to become a certified drone pilot, Laurent registered as an operator with the DGAC (French Civil Aviation Authority). He also trained in infrared image interpretation and completed several traditional photography courses.
Drone-inspIR was founded in October 2023, with several goals in mind: to create beautiful images, but also to provide services that previously required much heavier and more complex equipment. The lightness, stability, and quality of the lenses used on Drone-inspIR’s drones make it easy to capture detailed images of rooftops, electrical pylons, or to track the progress of construction sites, enhance real estate properties, or produce cinematic videos of sports events and personal occasions.
Using advanced drones such as the Mavic 3 Thermal Enterprise, equipped with a thermal imaging camera, Drone-inspIR has carried out infrared thermography on buildings to quickly assess heat loss, and has been able to detect defective cells on photovoltaic panels.
For ground photography, Laurent SERGEANT relies on high-end Panasonic equipment, including the S5iix camera body and Lumix S Pro lenses. Whether producing real estate visuals or class portraits, the videos and photos are delivered in the desired format with impeccable quality.
Upon request, Laurent SERGEANT also offers photo retouching and video editing services, adding extra energy and polish to the final result.
