Visual language has fascinated Thibaud GURY since early childhood—the idea that a single image can tell a story and convey emotions painted with light.

Through his studies as a cinematographer, he explored what truly makes a beautiful image. Today, after mastering the technical aspects of image capture and post-production, he believes that the true key to a powerful image ultimately lies in emotion.

Using his creativity to make moments of happiness, effort, achievement, and work timeless—everything that gives life its meaning—is a true vocation for him. A documentary enthusiast with a minimalist approach, he favors natural light and authentic settings, while also appreciating more stylized visual languages.

As an independent director and photographer, Thibaud GURY immerses himself in each client’s world, offering concepts tailored to their intentions and personalities. Through his training and experience, he is able to manage projects from initial concept through to final editing and retouching.

Equipped with a state-of-the-art mirrorless camera and constantly seeking to push his tools to their limits, he allows complete creative freedom in capturing the moment. His expertise spans a wide range of fields, including events, weddings, corporate projects, sports, aftermovies, institutional films, product photography, and craftsmanship.

In the sports field, Thibaud GURY has worked alongside national-level climbers on outdoor projects across Europe. In craftsmanship, he is currently producing a short documentary about glassblowers in Wales. He has created the visual identity for advertising campaigns and content for a winemaker in the Hautes-Alpes, and has taken part in numerous weddings in 2025 as well as short films over the past four years.
