Floriane Quetel, a professional photographer based near Gap, in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, founded EFEL Photographie in 2020 with the desire to place people at the heart of her work.
After a career in communications and tourism, where photography had already played an important role, she decided to make it her profession. Since then, she has built her experience through a wide variety of encounters and projects: family, maternity and newborn sessions, portraits, couples, weddings, as well as corporate photography, professional events, real estate photography and school photography.
Above all, Floriane loves people. Their personalities, the connections between them, spontaneous gestures and all those little details that tell a much richer story than a perfect pose. Her work focuses on creating natural and authentic images, while paying close attention to light, composition and aesthetics.
She also understands that being in front of a camera can be difficult for some people. Many clients arrive at a session telling her that they are “not photogenic”, that they do not know how to pose or that they feel uncomfortable with their appearance. You don't need to know how to pose. Her role is to guide you, help you feel comfortable and create the right conditions for you to gradually forget about the camera.
This caring and supportive approach is an essential part of the way she works. She wants each session to be an enjoyable experience in its own right, rather than simply a way of producing beautiful photographs.
For individuals, Floriane photographs the different stages of life: couples, pregnancy, the arrival of a child, growing families, or simply the desire to preserve memories of a meaningful period in life. She welcomes clients to her studio near Gap or meets them outdoors, surrounded by the landscapes of the Hautes-Alpes, which she loves to incorporate fully into her images.
She also photographs weddings in the Hautes-Alpes and throughout the wider Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA) region. Floriane enjoys telling the story of each wedding as it naturally unfolds, combining the key moments with the looks, gestures and spontaneous moments that truly make each celebration unique.
She also works with professionals, businesses and associations throughout the PACA region, creating images that are consistent with their identity: individual and team portraits, photographs of professional activities and expertise, premises, events, real estate and visual content for corporate communications. Here again, her goal is not simply to create beautiful photographs, but to authentically showcase the people, expertise and story behind each business or organisation.
Kindness, authenticity and simplicity are the values that guide EFEL Photographie. Since every person and every story is different, Floriane takes the time to listen, exchange ideas and adapt her approach accordingly. Because beyond a successful photograph, she believes in the lasting value of an image that captures something genuinely true.
